MEMO Container #48 on it’s way to El Salvador

I am totally impressed with MEMO volunteers. After working hard all Thursday afternoon, removing 30 beds from a highway storage trailer along with 80 boxes of medical supplies, they were back at 9 a.m. Friday morning finishing up at 5:30 p.m. They were strong, faithful to the end, enjoying each other’s company, and happy to be helping furnish the new clinic in Texacuagos, El Salvador. At 5 p.m. the doors on the container were finally forced closed, the door seal applied and the…

Three weeks ago we booked  container #47 for Saturday Nov 24th. Everything was okay so Bev Banks our phoner found 12 volunteers to help pack. On November 21st I was told they once again could not find a truck driver. So Bev phoned everyone to hold off.  Then at 3 p.m. on the 22nd they found a driver.  Bev phoned everyone to come at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Then it snowed and the highway from Toronto was closed.  Bev phoned to tell folks…
